Where is Kitchener Road? I swear I'm Singaporean, really. But I don't know half the places here. Is 'Oh Carol!' your favorite haunt, or do you have a favorite?

My favorite for drinks would be the Dubliner's, just across the road from the park which is just across the road from Meridien Hotel. Favorite for music would be a small pub called The Excalibur in Tanglin Shopping Centre (not to be confused with Tanglin Mall).

We're still meeting up Saturday right? I haven't yet confirmed with the brothers. I should probably do so...

although pk is straight, i think pk and you have the same frequency AM (alcohol maniac). I hate alcohol but I am on the frequency FM (fcuk maniac). perhaps you like both? then you are "qi sin" (cross wired in cantonese,...i.e. both AM and FM) =P

KNN is an abbreviation for a hokkien sexual slang:

"Kàn ni na-bu chhau chi-bai" or in short "Kàn ni na".

Kàn = fcuk
ni = you
na-bu = the one who bore you??
chhau = smelly
chi-bai = virgina

In cantonese it is "DNLM" in short, but it is never heard in Hokkien dominating s'pore.

prawninator: Oh Carol is not my fave jaunt. it's a hole-in-the-war kinda pub with plenty of uncles and aunties and all of them singing hokkien KTV. drinks are cheap though. plus we know the bartender. and one good friend to have in life is a bartender or a door bitch.

terry: i wish to say that the owner drew inspiration from that, but she's a bit of a heartlander. plus her name's Carol.

asianthirst: when i was a combat medic, i was part of the MRF, the urban deployment unit that handled chem warfare. and i'm not talking about chems as in ice-cream and whatnots. our chant was 'Seek, Save, Serve... HUAR!!!!' of course, it helped that we were carrying plus-sized field packs and wearing shorts and boots at the same time.
