i could go on for 40 days and 40 nights about my blog title and bore you to bits and pieces with 10,000 different ideas i actually had for the name of this blog but because of the 500 characters limit that is imposed upon this mechanism which, by the way, is supposed to promote free speech, i shall shorten it to just two words basically describing what the hell this is all about and who this hell belongs to. |

project 355: bak kua
the maternal grandmother offered to buy bak kua for us today. every lunar new year, the grandmother is the only person i know, who offers to queue at this particular bak kua store in chinatown, FOR FREE. apparently this really good store requires the typical customer to spend at least 1.5 hours in a queue. this sweet, barbequed, high fat, high sugar and high cholesterol meat is always a welcome treat during the festive season. now, if all the men in this world were as sweet and hunky and beefy and gay like bak kua, i would be first in line. come to think of it, i have had my turn already. and look what i've got: A BOYFRIEND!
